About Ilford HP5 Plus and HP5

HP5 Plus is an ISO 400 black and white film from Ilford, known for its wide latitude, pleasing mid-tones and the way it holds up when pushed to higher speeds.

HP5 gives you balanced black and white with gentler contrast and softer grain than TX400. Skin tones stay smooth and the midtones stay open, so it suits portraits as well as street work.
